is1Last night I watched David ‘Haymaker’ Haye beat the ‘Beast from the East’ Nicolai Valuev. No doubt you heard the script for this fight, with our David giving away a foot in height and seven stone in weight.

To cut a long one short, Haye out-boxed him for twelve rounds, finishing by detonating a one right on the Russian’s jaw, which had the seven foot two giant wobbling around the ring. Karen and I were all ready to head to London to watch Haye fight about a year ago, but it was cancelled. With Ricky Hatton retiring, it’s looking like the Haymaker could be getting a couple of geordie fans added to his growing army.

The whole boxing fraternity will be buzzing today, as Haye is so exciting, and, like me, they can’t wait for him to get a hold of the Klitschko brothers.
